Do rabbits stop spawning?

I am in the third land and destroyed all portals in the direction of the harbour. I got lucky with the map and have a huuuge field of grass next to my last wall. But it looks like the rabbits stopped spawning. It has been two days now and no rabbits?

Depends on if its winter, and I have noticed only a certain amount of rabbits on the map will spawn. There is also the possibility that there may be dirt in the middle, blocking the field being fully connected and preventing tall grass for bunnies.

So there is a lot of variables that can affect why your not seeing any bunnies, and without a detailed setup of the area then it would be difficult to explain what you are observing.

I've encountered the same issue when clearing large parts of the map of trees! It seems there's only a certain number of rabbits that can spawn on the map, and if there's lots of grass far away from your kingdom, they may all have spawned there, where your archers can't reach them.

I read that rabbits do not spawn between walls even if there is a huge space of grass between them. Is this officially confirmed?

Oh yes, that too. Rabbits only spawn at tall grass patches, and tall grass patches don’t even appear between walls. I don’t know that there has been an official statement, but in my times of playing New Lands, that’s how it has always happened.
