I just thought initially, that new lands version might be like the second part of the game and classic might be first, thats why I was not sure.
In New Lands, the banker exists, making Classic slightly harder
In Classic, the merchant does something completely differet (Gives you four random tools)
In New Lands, you can unlock new things (Mounts, a dog, etc.)
The boat takes a lot of money to build
You win the game in Classic by destroying all portals, while in New Lands you escape.
Overall, if you're looking for a quick game to challenge yourself, play Kingdom: Classic for a while. But while you do that, you can also be pracicing for the really hard game that is Kingdom: New Lands. Another thing is that Kingdom has no save files, so with both you can have two games at the same time.
