Island 3 impossible

So i have done 9 diffrent runs and eveyrtime i get screwed over on the 3rd island. So i had a great set up. Money was coming in left and right i had the the right side clear of portals and next was the left so i can spend some free time not worrying about enemys. So i get two squads of knights upgraded bows so more dmg is done. I destroy the small portal and my knights go back and just chill behind the wall and then i hear like a thunder roar and the sun didnt come up. I was then met with 3 big guys,4 flying bug things and atleast 40 small ground enemys. I have two tier 4 walls on the right with the best towers upgraded bows and a catapult. They blew through my walls no problem a and the knights ran away insted of fighting all the towers and catapults got cleaned up. Then the huge wave pushed all the way to the left to which my knights and catapults did nothing and just sat there while the few archers i had barely made by. So after that mess i had about a half full sack of coins and had to rearm and give the coins to the "dead" npcs. Here is the kicker i hear bow snaps to my right and i think they are killing a dear so i run over to get the money and wouldnt you know a blood moon happens to which who ever was still alive was now creamed by another wave of enemys. Someone exsplain how this is supposed to be fair or possible if every time i destroy a portal i get a double blood moon. Im also supposed build the boat, and recover from this massive army, This game needs a npc mangment where i can put my npcs on the right seeing how no enemys have showen up on the left in a week in game time. Lastly why are the knights such ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wouldnt the knights be the one's upfront fighting?

1- Knights are chickens when defending the base, they will run away from enemies if your defences receive a lot of damage and his archers will follow, which is really bad AI in my opinion.
2- Never buy knights before having a big army of archers, even if you can, spam archers like no tomorrow, afterwards, get some knights.
3- Spam archers, this game is about hiring archers more than anything else, don't expand just because you can, search for the big hole and plan a strategy, most of the time your island is awful and the best place to build the strong defence is just in your base.

You should focus on destroying the portals at the side with the dock and building the boat. I usually leave the other side alone. When I've destroyed the portals on the side with the dock I just clear every tree (except for the ones besides a camp) and start building the tier 2 farms where ever I can. If you have already unlocked the baker hermit, I suggest you rush the bakery since it's very helpful

Thats what i did i had the dock side clear i wanted to ease the right side by taking out a small portal which dont come back so the blood moon waves would be smaller and i wouldnt have to wait everynight to build the boat. Then i could keep getting my money in the day and build the boat in two days.

Yeah on this island i did that but i spent too much time doing that and day 15 came around and i didnt destroy anything and i was gainning 4 people each day because they were the closest. Anyothers would take too long and die on the way there because for some reason the AI likes to walk not run. I had a good 30 archers all togeather and when i made knights i lost 5 each for both side. Off topic people are talking about mounts and these special one's that have extra stanima but i have only found white,black,and diffrent types or brown.

To unlock the new mounts and stuff you should pay 2 gold to the signposts on every island, doing this will give you a map fragment and upon completing that island (escaping with the boat) you will get the unlock. If you have already unlocked the fragment for the 1st island, you shouldn't try to unlock another one because you can't since there is only 1 unlockable on that island. To sum up on what you can get:
- 1st Island: Archer statue
- 2nd Island: Dog, Better Horses and Builders' statue
- 3rd Island: The great Stag, Hermit of tide, Farmers' statue
- 4th Island: War horse, The great Bear, Baker Hermit and Knight statue
- 5th Island: Unicorn and Knight Hermit
Note: on the islands 2-5 you'll have to complete it several times and activate the signpost several times in order to unlock all the unlockables.

So I suggest you just speed run every island till you got all the unlockables and then you may have better luck on the third island.

First of the dog can be gotten on the 2nd island. Second, if you look at your map when you've opened the menu, are there icons being displayed on top of the islands? Do you see a dog on the second island?

The only thing i see is the archer statue on the first island, a flag on the second and a crashed boat on the third no dogs,mounts or any of this other cool stuff are seeing

Even if you die, if you paid for the map, you get the unlockable. Search for the map, buy it and die first night.

I got all the maps for 1,2,3 but they havent unlocked a new island

The map fragments don't unlock islands, they unlock mounts, statues, and hermits. If you survive island 3 you unlock island 4, and if u survive island 4 you unlock island 5

The map fragments don't unlock islands, they unlock mounts, statues, and hermits. If you survive island 3 you unlock island 4, and if u survive island 4 you unlock island 5

Oh well besides i ahve gotten all the map fragments and unlocked the hermit achievement but havent seen any of them besided a white,brown,and black horse

Of course you have to beat the map in order to unlock the next, but to make this faster, buy every map in your location and die first night to have every unlockable in it available.

I did the same mistake. Route to dock was cleared, ship was almost done and then I thought like "Hey, why not clear the remaining portal for the lulz?". I died that night. :(
