Banker issue

So in every island before the third, the banker takes 1 coin and returns 3. On the third island, the banker takes money but doesnt give anything. Do i simply not understand the banker?

Bank - Withdrawing

• The Banker will either give you 1/3rd of your stored coins (rounded up) or fill your Wallet, whichever is the smallest amount of coins.
  
• Once your bank starts getting low on coins, the following can happen...
  - If 7 coins remain in the Bank, 3 can be withdrawn but the remaining 4 coins cannot.
  - If between 1 and 6 coins remain in the Bank, no coins can be withdrawn.

thx, I had done a search for "the banker" I came up with 2 results.

1. The banker takes as many coins as you put down and sometimes gives back 2+
2. the banker takes your money and returns it slowly over time.

both of these sounded semi useless, so i figured i'd ask.

it's a little disheartening that this interesting game has such a toxic community. more and more, steam game communities are insular and unwelcoming.

The community isn’t toxic, I’m just annoyed that no one bothers to search the 100+ other discussions centered around “the banker” or were you not searching the steam discussions?

searched via phone. potentially something wasn't spelled correctly hurting the searh results. Less you, more the nicer than I'd be. Repeated questions can be annoying, however, you don't have to answer them if they annoy you. if the banker is a hot button question for the game such that it's asked often, then it deserves to be seen as often as possible in the discussion thread. perhaps a guide dedicated specifically to it?

I wouldn’t know about the guides, figuring out how things work on my own is one of the things that drew me into the series. Of course, it helps that I played the previous 2 games, so I did have some knowledge beforehand. But there were so many new things in each installment, it’s no wonder they released them as seperate games.
