Is theree a way to save your game in this?

I've been playing this for a while and it's been a sort of 'hardcore mode' for me. I have no ability to save at a certain point theen return to it if I mess up, or a way to load a previouss save point; the game either starts me from the very beginning, or exactly where I logged out at. Any failure to win constantly on my part results in me having to start over from the very beginning, which is growing tedious as I'm new to the game and keep making mistakes that end sometimes rather long runs.

I'd at least like to save at certain points in the game before making serious decisions that might ruin all my progress.

The game saves every in game day or when you move islands (either via boat or losing the crown), but there should also be a manual save in the pause menu.

There's no load function if that's what you're asking. You can save and quit at any time and the game will keep all your progress or the game will autosave at the begginning of night and day, but you're forced to make decisions and live with them. No testing out and then going back and loading if your decision didn't work out.

This is how this game is designed.

But there is a way to cheat this. You have to back up your save file manually. Go to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow\noio\Kingdom and copy and paste your save file, storage_v34_AUTO.dat to other folder for backup. (If you also play Classic, the save file is in the same location, v26.)

For saving, as the above comment said, the autosave is in the morning, leaving the island or just start the island. But during the day, the menu will be save and quit. When you are going to make an important decision like build another far wall, attack the portal, or leave the island, just save and quit. Back up your save file manually. Then, you load your game again.

And as Alex said, on day 1 just the game starts, you can pause right away before the autosave. The pause will pause the autosave and you can alt+tab to noio folder and checkout output.log. If you don't like the layout of the island, you can alt+F4 to force quit the game. And reload your game, you will be back to the previous save, probably before you leave the island. You can abuse this as many time as you want until you get the island with the layout you want.

This is for PC version only. I'm not sure we can do this for other platform.

I already bought it as it was on sale. It's not a bad game, just has some aspects that make it more challenging than I like.

But seriously. The hate is unwanted. If you don't like the game, fine. Don't tell me not to buy it or play it.

I got Kingdom : Classic for free. Played and love it, so I looked for New Land right away. There was no sale or bundle at that time. But I wanted to play it so bad, I bought the key from G2A. (And some days later, it was in bundle lol)

Though the game is full of bugs, lot of frustration, or even not allow me to save sometime, I still love the game and never regret my purchase.
