How do you get your hermit if it gets stolen??

I cant seem to go to the hut and get another one.
what is another option rather than the ballista.. archers dont cut it with the catapult

When you lose your hermits on an island, you'll have to finish this island with no hermits and hope to find another one on your next island.

Yes, you will find the hermits on the next island.

And it's possible to win without ballista, you need load of archers. Just hire new people everyday. I did not build ballista in every game I play, depend on the map I got.

Only when winter comes and you have no money, then yes, it's impossible to win this game.

You're doing something wrong, don't know what. The big wave of greed shouldn't be a problem till much later in the game.

I completed the Day 100 Achievement on island 4. I had 2 or 3 vagrant camps and a bakery hermit. So every day, I recruited 4-6 people. I had the unicorn, so I received a lot of coins until winter startet (~ day 50). The flying monsters were never able to pass my wall, they died through roughly 200 arrows in one shot. Additionally, I protected my walls from the big ones through the Statue of Building. I made it up to day 100 without any problems, and my main building still had a huge pile of coins.
So the combination unicorn for coins + lot of vagrant camps for archers + bakery hermit to attract all vagrants each day + statue of building for wall protection really proved as safe strategy to achieve the day 100 achievement.

Unicorn is one of the unlock at the sign post. Just play through the game and you will unlock it.

And if the wave gave you trouble, mean you didn't have enough archers. Bet you don't have a baker yet. Then, you have ride out and hire new people every day.

The game is very difficult during the first run. But after you unlock everything, all hermits, statues and good mounts, those will help you and make your game easier.

Me neither. It will be very hard to start right there without some preparation you brought over from the previous island. I won't suggest you to start from scratch there unless you want some challenges and you are very lucky with the map layout.

That's why a baker is essential. Have you unlock a baker yet? If yes, his hut should be available now. Otherwise, I see no way how you can survive island 5 or skull island. Replay first on island 2 or 3, bring the army, a hermit you want and full bag of coins with you.

If you haven't unlocked a baker yet, replay island 4 until you unlock him. You need to play the same island three or four times to unlock everything anyway.
