EDIT: And I have a Guy with a book running infront of my main building collecting money and dont give it back ...
Orange Jan 10, 2018 @ 6:05am
The guy with the book is the Banker. You can give him coins to store in the Town Gate, and each morning the stored coins will earn 7% interest (but no more than 8 coins through interest).

To withdraw coins from the Banker, you just need to stand infront of him and he will drop some.

As for the Hunters, you have to remember that they only hunt rabbits on the short green grass areas (as thats whre the Bunny Dens appear, the tall green grass bushes). if you extend your frontline wall past this hunting area then you will lose your hunting ground because Bunny Dens will despawn if they are inside your town walls.

Yeah, apparently the kingdom is a big believer in mowing, since they never let the grass behind their walls grow tall enough to spawn bunnies.

Yup, managing your hunting grounds is a big part of the game. A couple of tips :
- Bunnies will never spawn inside your base. (so between the wall on the left to wall on the right = no bunnies)
- They can also only spawn on green grass, the grass slowly spreads everywhere it can, but it can not pass through walls nor trees.
- Your hunters will patrol the area between your last wall and first trees, make sure it's big enough for a few tall grass spawns, however the longer the distance the less effective your hunters will be as they\ll spend more and more time traveling instead of hunting.

That said, the betterI got at the game the more I appreiciate farmers, so keep them in mind too when planning out your base.

Be careful of the winter though, every island has it's time limit for you to leave. Take too long and the winter will come cutting all sources of income other than the banker, you'll ahve to leave or starve to death, so it's good to at least start working on your boat as soon as you establish your base

I've had grass grow through walls. I was actually worried that I had built the wall too soon and I wouldn't have a hunting ground, but grass did spread to the other side of the wall.

Quite the opposite. The more land you have, the more bunnies will spawn each day. If you only have one or two bushes, then you will not earn much from hunting per day.

Honestly, farmers are only needed if you're going for the Day 100 achievement because they'll let you bank more coins to last through winter. Otherwise rabbit hunting should be more than enough to get your boat going so you can move-on to the next island.

@Shiro What do you mean last through winter? Winter only ends in Kingdom: Classic. If you get to winter in Kingdom: New Lands then your days of income are over and you've wasted too much time.
Shiro Jan 22, 2018 @ 9:26pm
"Through Winter" as-in "until you jump on the boat to load the next island".
Timeslice Jan 23, 2018 @ 11:25am
Ah, gotcha. That makes much more sense.

Nobody mentioned it here, but the merchant is also a neat source of income, at least on first three(?) islands. He will travel to your town hall every evening for protection, spend the night, and drop around 10 coins in the morning. If you give him one coin back, he will go home and return the next evening.

Unless you destroy his home (by cutting down trees around it, just like beggar camps), he will continue to do this indefinitely, even during winter.

it may just be me, but i am certain that guy -- who was never seen entering the kingdom like other nomads mind you -- is skimming from treasury.

i mean, look how wide he is, and that silly hat. who does that remind you of? he carries a book around with him, but do you ever see him writing in it? no. and whenever its dark out, he's the only one who goes inside the keep, likely swimming in a pool of your hard-earned riches. when you drop coins on the ground, look how eagerly he runs to pick them up. probably so he could keep himself tubby and large while he lounges around in your home all day.

if i were you, i wouldn't trust a shady looking character like that.

I seriously hope you’re joking. Don’t go around misleading new players about the the bankers purpose in the game. It’s hard enough trying to figure out how things work on your own without being fed misinformation.

Bunnies indeed won't but deers will. So you should wall in as much of the forest as you possibly can.
What I usually do is find the furthest clearing between the initial walls and the first portal and cut down trees there until I find a wall spot. Hunters will frequently run through the forest, herding and hunting down everything.

i just said i don't trust him. i've given him coins and never counted how many he's taken or given back. my gut tells me nobody knows for certain how consistent he is.

The Banker is very consistent, here is what I found...

Earning Interest
  • You gain 7% interest on stored coins each morning (always rounded up).
  • The most amount of coins you can earn from interest is 8 coins per day.
  • You still earn interest even if you have 100,000 coins stored in your bank.
  • You still earn interest even if you have 1 coin stored in your bank, it will increase to 2 due to rounding up.

Bank - Depositing
  • There doesn't seem to be a cap on the amount of coins you can store in your bank.
  • The Banker requires 10 coins before he will manually deposit them for you.
  • If you only give the Banker between 1-9 coins (so he hasn't manually deposited) he will still store them in the bank at night when entering the town gate.

Bank - Withdrawing
  • The Banker will either give you 1/3rd of your stored coins (rounded up) or fill your Wallet, whichever is the smallest amount of coins.
  • Once your bank starts getting low on coins, the following can happen...
    - If 7 coins remain in the Bank, 3 can be withdrawn but the remaining 4 coins cannot.
    - If between 1 and 6 coins remain in the Bank, no coins can be withdrawn.

thanks a lot for the info, i was kinda confused about the banker, but i did knew and noticed he was giving more coins back

still one question if you don't withdraw coins, is the interest always incresing the ammount?

also, protip:
avoid the most you can to remove the merchant house, he is a really valuable resource... that source of income every morning, i usually get his money and shove it into the bank, can easily fill the wallet with theese 2
