I can't switch horses.

I got the "death" horse on the first island and i have not been able to switch to any other mount since. Im on the 4th island and would like to take the elk but i can't buy him.

Intended, the spooky horse is cursed and you can't switch. I refer you to this post if you do want to get it back, however.
