Greed apparently spawned from destroyed portal, crown stuck on edge of dock

I destroyed a portal on Island 4, no greed showed up for a full day, so I went out and passed the destroyed portal to recon. Greed spawned in two separate waves after I passed, it seems, from that destroyed portal; the first without masks, the second mixed. I paid them off, confused as to why greed would be spawning from THE PORTAL I JUST DESTROYED.

Then I pass the next portal- the last portal before the dock; it's inactive, about mid-day, and I'm just gauging distance. Greed show up AGAIN, but it's another full-on wave (I think I'm on day 19). Don't have enough gold, they bounce my crown, and it gets STUCK. On the very edge of the dock. They can't get it, I can't get it, nothing. I paused the game after 10 minutes or so to write this, realizing I probably should have quit and re-loaded, but I was too stupefied.

wtf.

I assume I'm screwed, given that a number of other posts regarding similar crown issues have received no replies, but I still can't figure out why two or three separate waves of greed would have spawned from a destroyed portal. That's a MAJOR issue, and makes me frustrated enough- given the time put into any Island-4-or-5-or-etc. run- that I just don't want to play it anymore.

Yeah good luck getting any reply. I had one saving bug lately and today my crown dissapeared. The bugs with the saving and the crown are deal breakers. I played the game again and again trying to get to the 5 island.
You go to all that trouble and time and oops, saving bug~! (and yes, i am a noob with instructions on how to fix my saving file by deleting or changing the files but it shouldn't be up to the player to fix it) You just never arrive to the next island and you are bug at the beggining..
And I am like, ok, i love the game, i can try again.. and then oops your crown just dissapeared in late game while you were just finishing the 4rth island.. oh well.. guess you have to start again -_-
The developers need to do something. It's one of my favourite games in steam but it's pointless to play a game on repeat while making zero progress cause of something is not even your fault :/ so you know, same.. :/ I hope they fix the problems you are facing
