Oculus Rift CV1 and Rift S Workaround the meta account requirement
I just ran through the basic instructions found here:
https://github.com/LibreQuest/OculusKiller/releases

Download the OculusDash.exe file in the assets list. Then follow the installation instructions on this page:
https://github.com/LibreQuest/OculusKiller

Oculus home has to be open to turn on the headset, but once it is on, launch the game through steam and it will play fine. Tested on my Oculus CV1, but it likely will work for Rift S and Quest 2 - so long as you're launching from desktop. So probably only useful for corded players. I am not the developer of this, so I cannot troubleshoot.

This is a workaround for Meta's recent requirement to have an account for your headsets to function. If you, like many of us, refuse to play along with facebook's never ending fickle, unreliable, and obviously data harvesting behavior, then this is how you continue using the headset you bought long ago that should by all rights still function. Who knows for how long, but for now we can still use our headsets without a Meta account.
