Onward
"failed to load mono library"
Just installed and I get this error on launch. I verified the integrity of the install. What's odd is that there appears to be an update queued in steam, but it doesn't want to actually update.

The full error says the following:

"Unable to load mono library from "E:/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Onward/Onward_Data/Mono/mono.dll" (error = 126)"

I noticed that there is no mono.dll file at that location at all.

False positive from your antivirus, just restore it from your quantine

There is a link in the "onward stream" thread about how to fix your issue.

Hmm, it looks like this may be an issue with unity, fortunately there are a couple ways of resolving it. Download the Microsoft Visual C ++ 2010 redistributable package .32 bit Here http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=5555 ,
64 bit here

Finally got it working. Uninstalled/reinstalled, had to verify install again, and that finally got the dll file needed.

My antivirus put the mono file in quarantine and I had to restore the file. Repair the game through the steam library (check integrity) and restart the game with your antivirus off.

I had the same missing mono.dll problem, I'm using Norton Utilities. I uninstalled/reinstalled and it worked great. Awesome game.
