How do I run properly?
I know you run by double clicking the touchpad, but sometimes I go fast and sometimes I don't and I can't figure out why. I can clearly see people running away from me from time to time.
So how do people run fast, reliably?

I thought that might be it, but I can't seem to find any visual or audio signs telling me if I'm out of stamina or not. Would be nice if there was some heavy breathing or something.

Hold your arm out at about 45deg while running.

Hello,

There is no stamina system in the game. To run double tap and hold on your touch pad. I believe the further out and more pointed straight the faster you will go.

If your non dominant hand is raised, you will not run. Keep your gun pointed down to run, or don't grip it with your second hand. Also, if your non dominant hand is free, then the direction your hand is pointing will be where you walk. Not sure if looking overrides the direction or not though.

move your off-hand in the direction you're sprinting and lower your gun.

[edit]damn, too slow ^^[/edit]

I really don't see why this would affect my speed from a realistic or gameplay perspective, but I've noticed that moving my arms around affects the speed so I'll give that a try :)

Thanks everyone for helping me out.

Why do I run faster simply by looking right ? I'm running faster whil strafing then looking forward, pretty anoying...

I find I occasionally stop altogether sometimes, really annoying

Yeah, I can sprint just fine and all of a sudden I just start walking without doing anything differently. It's really finicky..

I mean I stop fully. Going from running/sprinting to a full stop lol

Oh, that's weird :S Try swapping the controllers, one of my touchpads is a little broken in the top region, so it's bad for movement but works fine less "direct" inputs.

The biggest problem is that it takes the vertical orientation of the controller into account. If you point upward or downward you go slower, so you need to keep it level to get max speed.

The binding is garbage it needs to be something solid like holding left trigger to sprint. Not rely on some fidgety double-tab crap.

Double tap + angle + twist of the hand + direction of looking is pretty random ...
