I don't know if the VD auto install the beta version. I know I haven't even looked for this. But it's happening to me.

no you have to manually switch from live to beta then also install the beta streamer

This is a bug from Virtual Desktop. it also wont change due to how some games handle haptics. its something that ggodin has acknowledged. Airlink doesnt have this issue I believe.

If Airlink + Ownard doesn't have this issue and;
I don't get this issue with VD + HL Alyx;
then it must be an issue with VD + Onward.

Yes, its a per-game issue that unfortunately cant be resolved according to ggodin.
Switch to Airlink if you have received the v28 udpate, remember to switch the PC software to beta as well. I have tested some games, and found that Airlink has much less compatibility issues. But I get random stuttering for a couple of seconds once in a while with Airlink which never happened before with VD. Since it's still experimental features, it's expected to be a bumpy ride.

Quick PSA. use OpenCompiste or launch -vrmode Oculus and get that extra performance without steam overlay on.

I've been working on resolving Oculus Quest 2 controller vibration issues and have compiled a list of effective solutions:

Increase Controller Vibration Level: Check the vibration settings in the Quest 2 settings menu and increase the intensity if necessary.
Remove and Reinsert Batteries: Taking out the batteries, waiting a few minutes, then putting them back can reset the controller's connection.
Replace Batteries: Swap out old batteries with new, fully charged ones to ensure sufficient power for vibration.
Restart Quest 2 Headset: Powering off and then turning the headset back on can resolve many minor glitches.
Unpair and Repair Controller via Oculus App: Sometimes re-pairing the controller can fix connectivity issues that might be affecting vibration.
Try Different Games: If the vibration works in some games but not others, the issue could be game-specific rather than a controller problem.
Contact Oculus Support: If all else fails, Oculus Support can offer further assistance, especially if the controllers are still under warranty.

For constant vibration issues, the same steps apply. It's important to narrow down whether the issue is with specific games or the controllers themselves.

These solutions have proven effective in resolving vibration-related problems with Oculus Quest 2 controllers. Feel free to check out my post for more details on any of these fixes!
