the problem with the 4x acog sight
I want to start of by saying the acog site in this game is spectacularly modeled as far how it behaves when looking through, but at the same time that in itself is the problem due to the limitations of vr

I like i can imagine many others have found myself not using this site due to the incredible difficulty in usage due to the difficulty getting your head lined up with the site. Now the range at which you can see through the site is exactly the same as the one i have mounted on my rifle, however there is one major difference being the limitations of vr

When you hold a real rifle and aim you have 4 points of contact being your cheek, your left and right hands, and your shoulder. This means that when you aim your weapon, it stays relatively still with a high degree of control over where you aim. Your cheek being one of the points of contact means that you will be aimed down your sight with no movement away from the the sweet spot of your sights which makes the biggest differences when it comes to scopes.

scopes usually have a small area at which you can see through the site which you have done an excellent job of recreating in game, but in real life you can easily maintain your head to that position and lock your head there at a moments notice with no problems again because of the point of your head being connected to the rifle via your cheek allowing for quick and easy alignment of your eye to the site.

in vr you have 2 points of contact being your hands making for a very similar experience to using handguns or rifles with folded stocks. one thing that is for certain with folded stocks is that you seldom see anyone using zoom optics on those setups when using them in a folded configuration due to being unable to use the site which goes for this game as well

Possible solutions:
one thing you can do to counter this would be to make the sweet spot for optics much larger than they currently are allowing for one to see out of them easier. this probibly wouldn't help with accuracy, but it will alivate the difficulty being able to simply see though it. a second thing you could do with great difficulty would be to code some sort of 3rd point of contact probibly a shoulder. this would be a great undertaking initself, but it would help with probibly every single weapon in the game making it feel better but would take probibly months to a years time to implement due to the math required to make it work correctly. anyway just some food for thought

feel free to share any additions or solutions if anyone else notices something i may have missed or overlooked

These are solid points and this is some solid feedback. I'll share this with the development team.
