No support for full body tracking. No plans to do this either.

Even for just one waist mount tracker so we can lean out from corners without the avatar walking out and exposing entire body, and going prone doesnt make it impossible to access your gear.
This game is going to be overtaken very quickly by Contractors if you're not even considering waist tracking :(

Totally agree. Leaning is so important feature in the game like this.

leaning could be implemented with a simple button press that would ensure the in-game model's legs/feet wouldn't move as you lean around a corner

As soon as it come something that most have they will implement it, but implementing it now they have to go with Trackers with then leave out all with wmr and Rift headsets and ofc force all with lighthouse tracking to buy Vives trackers.

Lol this game isn't going to be taken over by Contractors cause it doesn't have one feature

Since we got VR with limited hardware, we also got this limited bodytracking options.

There are two samples, that i know already... and as far as i know this are the only 2 options.

1. Like in Onward, we moving in our space and the Model ingame is moving the full body
to the new position where our Head is going.

2.The Roomtracking moving is deactivated (we can only move with our tumbstick/touchpad) and we only can move our upper body with the use of our HMD to look "safe" behind covers, without giving the enemy full access to shoot in our legs or torso.

The most people in real world got only a small area to use VR, for me its stupid to support this minor consumers with alot VR space.

I think Onward and Pavlov should support sample 2. instead of sample 1. and it doesnt make sense why sample 1. got higher priority in Shooter games.

Okay now what's your solution if a person is a couple feet away from the "center" of the standing zone?
Kobold Jan 23, 2019 @ 12:12pm
@publicenemy
related to which system?

sorry that doesnt make sense, if system 2. is using... why you should move a few feets away anyways? you always will move back to the center.

Number 2

I think I'm just imagining any bugs , if someone leans or moves too far away from the center. Is the character recentered in the new location of the person irl? If so then you might just end up with the game thinking you're learning over when you really arent

i wouldnt say bug, but yeah... if you dont stay in middle of the center your character would lean in some direction, people need to check their position from time to time.

i dont see nothing wrong with that. You will get used to it fast... Arizona sunshine and Robo Recall is using this system already.

Or then using solution I wrote already over year ago..

"Leaning to left and right is very important feature in FPS games. I think without using Vive Trackers, this could be done by taking horizontal position from the HDM. Like when you peek to the right, you obviously tilt your head to right, that´s how the engine knows that you are leaning to the right and it bends your body that way that rest of the body can remain behind the corner."

Agree with that

You also can tilt your head to the right with standing in a straight position.

This doesnt make sense and dont work this way... there is always a trade off in this 2 available tracking options at the moment.

And if you dont want to deactivate real room tracking, you need a tracking belt on your hips or tracking shoes, for more informations related to your body.

The Engine cant know where your other body parts are with only a HMD on your head.

HAHAHA are you kidding me? Contractors is so far behind relative to onward. I've only played it for maybe 2 hours, but it is very clunky relative to onward, and also less players on average despite the fact it just came out. ( figured you would see a huge jump around release time)
