4x are garbage though in a sense magnification is not big enough to justify it over holosight and you loose taking aim time compared to holo.
Snipers were made on purpose hard to use because you need to adjust your sight perfectly for parallax not to ruin your shots, but practice makes them very usable. People have used them in league matches to great sucess even.

This is why I'm personally hoping the next map is either extremely long range (for some interesting sniper fights), or extreme CQB (for some hectic room to room chaos).
Smoils nailed it. 4x isnt worth it. 12x is great but very situational. Outside of Downfall and maybe QT on 1 or 2 objectives it has very limited use. Fun and feels good tho :D
