OCULUS RIFT S ISSUES
Anyone found a trick to have good results with the Oculus rift S tracking system? With the protube, the right controller (the hand that holds the grip for me), is too close to the headset and therefore tracking gets lost very often. Is there a workaround ?

Oh no, this sucks. If you don't use the protube and just hold the controllers up like you're aiming down a rifle does it still lose tracking? (Is the protube itself occluding the tracking? Or is it because one controller is too close to the HMD so the camera's can't physically see it)

it has nothing to do with occlusion. It happens even withoug using the protube. The only way to avoid it actually is to extend the dominant arm, which is at best unrealistic, but furthermore it's uncomfortable for longer sessions.
I just hope the issue will be solved by the addition of the virtual stock in update 1.6...it's really a game breaking issue.

This is exactly why I didn't buy Rift S, I feared it would lose tracking as soon as you got it close to your face because the camera's can't see your hand. The only way this will realistically be fixed is if Oculus allows us to make use of our existing external sensors, the system is setup to be able to use them, but it has to be enabled on the software end by them. Well this is a complete deal breaker on the Rift S for me. Until this is actually addressed, Rift S is a piece of ♥♥♥♥ for this game. That's a shame, this game IS the killer app in VR for many many people, there's a lot of garbage out there, this is the diamond in the rough and their new gear doesn't work with it. For shame Oculus, For Shame.

let's wait till update 1.6 is released, i have great expectations. After havine tried the virtual stock on contractors vr, it's helpful but is not 100% as realiable as the sensors tracking. Unfortunately i think i'll switch and buy the index in a few months...

OK, good news. After more extensive testing on contractors, after their patching and adding virtual gunstock i must say that the tracking or the prediction of the position and orientation of the controller has been greatly improved. I could not have it fail, even when i put my gun in my back and shoot towards a target, the bullet goes where it is supposed to go. I don't know how they did this, but it workls.
Even when looking completely to the left and shooting to the right, the shots hit the target.

So the bottom line is: software improvements of the tracking can really improve the gaming experience.

I can't even get Onward to start with my Rift S. It crashes the whole PC each time.

Rift S Audio Problems
Got on to play with my new rift s but I am hearing lots of distortion in this game only. My other vr games with the rift s sound fine. I can't hear other's talk over VOIP. Any Fixes?
