M16 sight picture
It seems to me that the Sight pictures for most of the Firearms Iron sights are considerbly off. The best example I can give is the M16 sights, I'd post a picture of the "Real life" sight picture examples but I don't have any to link into here. Suffice it to say, I do personally know what the sight picture "should" look like. However when lined up correctly, the actual hit point is considerbly above The actual aim point.

Now mind you, I realize pretty much no one uses the iron sights, with the Red dot, and Holographic sights being easier to use. But i'm simply curious if this is just my eyes, or if everyone else sees this aswell.

I HAVE noticed that it isnt the same for all the weapons. the Famas, and the AUG are a good example of weapons that their "Real" sight pictures line up pretty much correctly, and you can actually effectively use the Iron sights on those rifles. However, most of the other weapons hit waaay high.

Just curious if this is a known thing that will be solved, or if it's just going to be left that way because no one actually uses the Iron Sights anyways.

Guns are zeroed on far targets, so up close even with irons bullets fly higher than the sweetspot. I think they are all supposed to be zeroed on furtherest target in shooting range.

We had few guns zeroed wrong (p90, mp5) so dont trust a test from a single gun, if you feel like one of the guns is very wrong just report it as a bug.

Yes, i was checking the Zero'ing on distant and close range targets. As I said some of the guns Irons sights are dead on, like the Famas, the G3, the MK16, and all of the pistols are also dead on. But every other fire arm hits high, even on the most distant targets on the range.

This isnt really a "bug" it's more of a design thing. And thats why I thought i'd ask about it here.

It's more effective to suggest stuff/report bugs in the discord where the developers are active https://discord.gg/DjkydEh

no, its a bug since they have to adjust zeroing manually and can and do mess things up sometimes.
