Is it just me or does it look blurry when you look out at a distance on onward.. could be the SDE effect on VIVE making it worse or something? What can I do to make it clear at distances? I am running a gaming laptop from MSI with a 1060 graphics card.

you only real option is with supersampling though with a 1060 your not going to be able to do much in that area due to the lack of power in that card.
you MIGHT be able to do 1.25 or 1.4 supersample which will help but it will still be blurry on farter ranges

Its a laptop so i dont think you cant run any SS.

But yes to make it look better at range you need SS as high as you can get it.

err this gen of 1000 nvidia cards, the laptop cards are the same hardware as the desktop, but with slightly lower clocks. So for most purposes, it can be viewed as the desktop 1060.

Still, as someone who owned a AMD RX 480, around the same as 1060, i could maybe get 1.1 to 1.2 supersamp. but the performance cost wasnt worth it

1060m is 15% slower then 1060, a mobil cpu is slower then normal cpu and this game need alot off cpu power and gpu power.

But is it possible to get it super clear at distance with a better rig? What would I need. I usually already set SS to about 1.3 seems to run ok... but still blurry as.

2 up to 4 but then you need at least a 1080TI with a i7-6700k.

You won't get a super clear image no matter what because of the screen resolution - hardware limitation :/

Oh yes it can.
I've been running all my VR games with the 660, so far the only things that don't want to work are Robo Recall, Fun House and the inbetween parts of the Steam VR Lab thing, the games in The Lab work fine.

You sure you don't get a bunch of reprojections? The minimum recommended gpu is 970 or equivalent iirc.

Didn't want to start a new thread if we can get an update in here. I too have a 1080ti with i7 7700k 32gb ddr4 ram and I tried ss at 5.0.... Game runs perfectly smooth all day long never issues. However things at a furether distance are seriously blurry. I am not seeing this issue in other games. I am in no way criticizing this game I am making a statement that obviously this rig is capable. Being this thread is nearly 11months old...Any updates on this? I recently upgraded from a 970gtx and the blur at a distance even at ss at 1.0 is nearly identicle. Im using steam advanced settings to ss, I have a rift, and oculuso tray tools only allows me up to 2.0 ss.
