Yes. Just make sure it's tagged correctly (artist/ song name) so you'll be able to find it easily.
I'd definitely recommend buying this game, especially if you're a big music fan. It's both relaxing and peaceful as well as brutally punishing, depending on your difficulty setting :)
Also the Beat Hazard Ultra DLC is well worth it in my opinion, something to think about if you enjoy the core game, as it adds a lot of interesting features.
(Sorry, I haven't used the Steam forums in a while. I just royally buggered up that reply. Hopefully this one works!)
BH supports normal folders navigation (Though, it doesn't support network shares (Samba) like Audiosurf/Melody Escape does).
The only pitfall is that BH doesn't support Unicode so tracks/folders that contains non-english lettters will be shown as "??????"
