and it will 100% get more priority IF it does well, i don't think a company wants to invest a lot of money into a product that very little people want to play.
i think we should all start over in this new game for a couple of reasons.
1. there is no way this overkill game will have all the content DFO has gotten over the past however many years it's been alive, therefore not all progress could be transferred
2. it would be nice if everyone gets to experience the content together, maybe even bring us back to a simpler time to where it wasn't just a rush to the finish on 8 characters and then grind for some kind of tedious purpose.
maybe give people some titles in the new game to show their achievements in the old games, status and stuff, that's what you wanna give oldheads, to boast about how much time they've wasted doing some stupid hard or tedious stuff.
It is extremely unlikely that any sort of progress is going to carry over, since it's essentially a completely new game with similar gameplay, playing in the same universe
There might be some sort of event when it launches, which grants you some goodies for playing the other, though
