just play off the official site instead
otherwise . . . nothing else, i mean in the first place getting onto steam was more for the players then neople themslves, they didnt even wanted to be on steam until some plays kept urging them to because they though it'd be good for neople so it make sense that neople would ignore most of wuts going on steam, not saying its fair but it does explains it
i wouldent really say its fun to poke fun at steam these days but rather; they dnt make it hard not to when there no shortage of new steam players coming around onto reddit complaining about how the game isnt good enough for them, how stamina/fatigue is so self destructive its a miracle dfo hasnt imploded yet, how objective their experience is, how outdated the graphic is, how its steam's stats encompasses/reflect dfo in its entirety etc basically acting like an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ right off the bat because of a bad first impression
not to mention all the misinformation steam seems to bring like not even reaching end game before quitting while still going though the accelerated lvling process which was made piss easy specifically for fast lvling because dfo isnt a MOBA with instant gratification to then complain how easy the game is so its honestly not a surprise the dfo community likes to view steam with the same lvl of revulsion as the girls from the anime " I Want You To Make a Disgusted Face and Show Me Your Underwear"
besides this issue been happening since 2017, seems like a neople problem, that could easily be fixed, too me.
can only speculate on what the main issue is though.
it had to be one of my favorite games, sigh
i may start a new thread to see who is playing it on steam/with the steam client and how they got it to work or not get banned
the disconnecting problem did started around 2017 but it was easily fixed by simply changing channels when u first log in so crashing/closing/disconnecting before u even get in seems to be a different issue or not directly related, the recent fix seem to hav fixed that specific problem but no idea how it affected the issue of crashing/closing/disconnecting before getting in if it even affected it at all and as for the banning thats an even more recently thing and is more or less attributed to oversensitive security system which they really need to address but likely not gonna since they're understaffed
but i've seen posts of ppl getting banned or the one am having since 2017, the disconnects/crashes some other issue ppl were having.
though its coming up more now i guess, the random bans
and ppl were having trade issues even if the game runs.
little ted bit, i got banned after 2 hours(i was just downloading the game but still), few post were saying after 2 hours of play they got banned. probably me looking for answers and seeing weird connections.
starting to get bit frustrated looking at what issues are happening or could happen, am going to go chill a bit. later dood.
sry if anyone is looking for an answer for the bans btw, so far as of this post, i've gotten no reply from the ticket i sent yesterday and a slightly more descriptive ticket today. am going to wait few more days too see if anything happens.
they do update every 2 weeks but its usually filler events and major game changing updates like balance patches or content related stuff tends to be bundled together in bulk patches or as they tend to call it All-In-One (AiO) patches which comes in intervals of months specifically because tehy dnt hav much staff, this is basically their work-around for it so the game is actually updated in short burst
the initial trade lock isnt just to prevent chargebacks but also to prevent bots from trying to take advantage of the event since botting itself is a major problem, not sure how jp deals with it but kr requires a KSSN to register for an account and same for china, NA on the other hand actually closed down under nexon after 3 years partially because of nexon's own massive neglect and incompetence combined with letting bots run rampage on the economy so it make sense anti botting measure is a major concern neople
