so you cant have played much if you started in 2013
not sure how long it will take a new account to reach minimum requirements to be able to get into the latest raid
but...not too long if you are dedicated I guess(expect months)
since it is global and ppl play from all over you wont have problems finding groups for most of the hours of the day doing the latest content
Also, is the fatigue bar still in the game? If so, whats the restriction now?
fatigue still exist but overall its a non-issue, at worst it delays reaching lvl cap and mindless resource grind on a single character, the real restriction is that progression outside of epic gearing is locked behind weekly/daily content
1)How is the lag, especially compared to a few years ago? Has it improved at all? I'm in California so are the NA servers fairly stable?
2)To be honest I'm really only interested in PVE and at a basic level. I don't plan on reaching end game, at least for now. I just want to play it like a casual side -scrolling beat 'em up rpg and I don't plan on grinding to kingdom come to max out my character in a week. With that being said, can I get pretty far in the game without having to purchase anything? The thing that particularly annoyed me last I played, was them charging just to expand my inventory. That really pissed me off. Have they changed any of that aspect of the game?
i frequently sell runs of a specific content with someone from SA while im in NYC, i can party with overseas players with little problems at worst usually and i do this every week, the real issue is when someone's connection is unstable which will make the lag fluctuate or when players desync from one another because even if there is lag at +200ping or higher, delays in things like hit registration, room transitioning and picking up items is still only really noticeable if you scrutinize it but that being said mileage will vary and my experience wont be the same as yours
just for references on the part where i said i frequently party with someone from SA this was a run he recorded of me and 2 others running a dungeon called the oculus several montsh ago, we now offer service to run other players through it since we're far overgeared for it, im the 3rd party member from the left or 2nd frm the right here and hes normally anywhere from 150-200ping with me but do you see any noticable lag in his gameplay? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4c8o06oy6Jg
depends on how much of a packrat you are, how you manage your resources and taking advantage of any free safe expansion tickets that is sparely given out from events but yes, inventory/safe space is only really a problem when u start hording epics but this is something that hasnt changed in a long time outside of upgrading default account safe to extra 4-5 row from 1 and removing the weight limit
overall you've mentioned that you havent played since nexon but nexon ver when they ended it in 2013 was more the 2 years out date already anyway so the game you remember is practically a decade outa date by now, dfo in its current iteration is like a whole different game
