it is just a meme
you read mega when you farm to get your mind off how boring that part of the game is
the best thing that can happen is when ppl start to argue or be upset about things like the chinese ruining the game with bots/hacks/cant carry in raids and the chinese start to freak out lol
without the jokes and the insanity of mega...it would just be a boring grind
the admiral bead is just pure aids IMO and should be taken out from the bonuses
the rest of it is not even interesting
but that is flat out in your face pay to win
the real reason people is calling out the current package p2w is cuz a number of the bonus items from multi purchasing the package is consider extremely good for conveniences or those trying to mix-max to the ninth degree including the package's own aura which is probably the only real good thing from the package itself and its only extremely good for a few classes, any other time the extremely good bonuses whether it'd be directly from the package itself or multi purchase bonus tend to be the golden goose among a bunch of other crap and comes around separately as in weeks to months apart from each other and rarely ever back to bck but this 1 just bunched up a whole bunch of golden goose into the multi purchase bonus all at once
on the other hands all the whales multi purchasing deflated the economy so that the gold to cera ratui is almost 1:1 of each other if u wanna buy a package from another player with gold and even the pieces of the avatars themselves r cheaper on auction then others which is far cry from people selling the previous miku package for a 1:2 of cera and gold ratio but this is overshadowed by the drama queens on reddit and echos
I don't know anything about the stats and items, so I'm not sure how "great" those items from event are. In any case, mostly people complain when those package are there for everyone for purchase.
Speaking by myself, I don't care much about those stuffs, I play cause I enjoy it, if people wanna buy stuff to get "advantage" or whatever they call it, much better, cause they are supporting the game I like. I would love to do that too, show my support to the dev spending money, but actually my situation isn't that great, otherwise I would do glady.
There's something isn't the first time I read and it's the "whales" thing, I'm not sure what that really mean.
dfo employs snapshotting buffs in its gameplay, people call it buff swapping here and theres even a built in feature to facilitate this too, the admiral beads grants an +1 in lvl to skills within a certain lvl range which is the range every classes' buff skill is in so people want it to increase their dmg potential even slightly, the irony is that u dont actually need this bead to reach the max additional lvls in buff swapping but the freed up gear slot can be used for a otherverse gear piece imbued with a increase buff potency option which can be as large as multiplicative +2% to ur buff's potency value, its pretty mediocre increase of a value but high end mix-maxers would definitely want the bead, it also doesnt help that the majority of end game is mainly trying to mix-max anyway
the multi purchase bonus also includes a clone wep avatar which is also the 1st time this item has appeared in dfo and includes 2 emblem slots, the best u can make do with the emblem slots is a +6 crit rate which is sorta meh by itself since u can reach max crit rate even without it but the 2 extra emblem slots does make it alot easier
another item from multi purchase bonus is silver amplification grimores, its an rather complicated end game item so ill avoid the info dump on something u probably wont understand but the last of the controversial multi purchase bonus items u can get by buying the package 10 times is an epic transcendent stone, epics is the highest rarity of gear in the game, stupidly overpowered depending on the piece itself and generally is untradable, only way to move it around/off your character is a feature which allow u to transfer the epic gear to another character on ur account at a very and i mean very steep cost of extremities in resources which if quantified can be price at costing u either 113mil in tradable resources or 567mil in untradable resources, the feature is generally only for the best of epics, the last resort and only if u finish an epic set with it as otherwise it wouldnt be worth the cost since such overpowered items cannot be freely passed around or else the balance will go off the rails
neople has released 2 other epic transcendent stone before through events (so it was technically free provided u did the event) but they were of a lower lvl so the epics that it could be used on was limited and every other time it didnt allowed the most relevant epics to be transferred, the epic transcendent stone from buying 10x packages for the 1st time is a lvl 90 epic transcendent stone which is the highest lvl possible meaning it works on the most meta of gears allowing people very close to finishing an epic set to save themselves weeks to months of grinding or resource gathering, of course such convenience isnt getting away scot free so people r crying fowl at it saying its p2w since only people willing to drop +$300 can get it or sell it to another player at an expensive price
none of these things is really even an actual advantage in its most strict sense, its just varying lvls of conveniences, granted very, very high lvls of conveniences but conveniences nonetheless, also helps that lvl 95 cap is coming within several months which changes how the gearing process works so the most controversial multi purchase bonus item being the lvl 90 epic trans stone will take a sharp fall in value once it arrives, its only as valuable as it is now and even earlier then 95 cap (as in within this year) the raid rework update will arrive which makes it easier for people to gear their characters anyway, neople is only releasing this item now because who knows how much less valuable it will be within several weeks to a month till the 95 cap
anyone is free to buy the packages, u can even buy it from other players with gold too but the bonus items r only for those who actually bough the package themselves and it doesnt help that u need to buy 5 packages (about $150) before the multi purchase bonus items r tradable like say the clone wep avatar from 3 purchase is untradable so u can only use it for urself but buying an additional 3 packages for 6th packages total gives u another clone wep avatar which is tradable and can be sold to another player but since u got this from spending $150 ur definitely not gonna see it for cheap

Uhm, isn't it a big failure at long terms for them? if the cap. lvl will be changed will come along with the rest of content so whatever purchase they might do now will be sort useless later on.
Btw you were right, auction house's literally a lot cheaper than those who sell at megaphones. I had purchase my weapon avatar box there at a pretty handy price.
the new content in the 95 lvl cap has a different sorta gearing progress since its less rng ( rng = Random Number Generator/God, slang gaming term for things relent on luck) then it is now but anyone in the current strongest gears possible will get a head start on it and is capable of upgrading the current best gears into the best gears of the new content
for example sake lets say the new gearing process has 5 steps or thresholds, starting out u need to go step by step from the 1st step all the way to the 5th step but someone in the current best gear can skip the first 3 steps and proceed to starting at the 4th step instead, the new lvl cap wont invalidate the bonus stuff from the package but it definitely will make it less desirable since atm epics is almost entirely rng which means the gearing process can take several months to evne over a year if u r just that unlucky while the new lvl cap's content guarantees that u can get best stuff though a long but steady gearing progression process instead of being almost entirely rng base as it is now
but yea with all the whales buying multiple packages and getting so much stuff they dont want just to get the stuff they do want there is an excess inflation of cera items circulating around so they going for cheap on auction just so they can get a little bit bck of wut they spend to get wut they do want, this is a direct opposite in comparison to the previous avatar package package where the cera to gold ratio was actually twice as much due to everyone wanting it but not enough people selling it, the current package can be bough for just over 30mil in gold from another player since it cost 3k cera or $30 irl but the previous package being the miku/vocaloid being around 2k cera/$20 and agent/gunblader's TAO avatar set 1.79k/$17.90 were being being sold for 40-50mil each due to the supply not being able to meet demand
of course the sheer existence of the amount of current good bonus items u can get atm is apparently too mcuh for some people so they trying to proclaim that neople is going full greedy and p2w ignoring the fact the the bonus items r just conveniences and actual package and its contents is just so much affordable then the previous
