or do i need to have a chinese telephone number/some form of chinese ID to play?
(the auction house must be alot more fun with millions of players)
But not recommend. The environment is bad because of hack and bots.Server also unstable beacuse of too many players.
But I perfer to play games through one account or one platform.Including Dota2 and other single game usual played
I thought it could be more convenient to pay with steam wallet(I wrong lol)
We do use VPNs when we visit China and want to check on our games, I think that works for them. I have seen a bunch of players claiming to be doing just that.
I believe its more of a like contract/copyright over region issue more than just players being outsmarting the security.
Well for getting CERA (cash shop currency) I believe its pretty simple, you just need to have secure account, played for 3weeks and have a level 90 character without using any levelup tickets from any event.
Seems like user error to me or a rare bug that might have been fixed after your last time. If the client was faulty you could have seen complains about it all over this place. But none of that matters you play something else that you like and that's all that matter.
Well first and foremost the stamina system. I despise it on principle. This thing alone is enough for me to boycott the game.
Then there is difficulty curve. Or the lack of one. Anything that is story related is mindbogglingly easy, and any side content is a gear check, that if you don't pass, you just can't win no matter how skillful you are.
Then there is korean mobile game syndrome where it has bajillion of currencies and event items and tokens and materials and all other crap that you'll need to spend week reading on that doesn't even directly affect gameplay.
Then the character-bound dress up items. What if I want to start over with new slayer, but use my old paid costumes on him? Too bad, gotta cough up for them all over again.
Sooooo yeaaaah... game is definitely flawed and is inferior to some newer f2p games such as Warframe or PSO2 in monetary and progression systems alone, I don't compare the core gameplay loop.
As a matter of fact I think DFO has one of the best of the core gameplay loops, actually on par with WF and PSO2, but the encompassing, distinctly korean systems drag it all down.
fp is a red herring, it barely means anything overall and if it is then people just find ways around it which is pretty evident when people yesterday were hitting max lvl on gunbladers on the very day he was released,
scenarios r meant to be easy because they're designed to rush u straight to the lvl cap where the majority of the content is instead of delaying people by making the lvling content harder when lvling as a concept itself has been simplified and phasing outa almost other every game as any sorta focus to a game
theres no such thing as a gear check in dfo, if u mean the exorcism system then all it does is increase the dmg u take and lower ur dmg done to enemies if ur below the exo requirement (vise versa if exo is higher then required), is only there as a deterrent so people dont accidentally attempt something too hard for them and it barely has an impact overall unless ur drastically far below the exo requirement, i even regularly run alts though content where they're about 100-400 exo below the threshold and do just fine, skill is barely relevant because pve mainly pertains to knowledge and how to apply it regarding wut ur class does and wut the enemy does
alot of the trash materials r relics of an older time when they're still relevant and with updates they hav been either remove from the game, made not obtainable/droppable anymor or allowed exchanged into mor useful stuff, only a handful of materials still remain and event stuff always gets removed after the event is over, having a bunch of different items for different use shows depth and complexity in design which is the majority of games in general so expecting anything less is borderline backwards thinking
untradable avatars was an initial design decision to bring in revenue which has been criticized and removed already for a while
people who actually play the game complain about other stuff instead; like the burst meta which tends to invalidate certain class design, fake difficulty by previous content being too gimmicky, rng progress (to be fair it does keep things from being p2w) and a couple other sutff of which alot does get addressed and changed on a basis of every few months as the overall change/updates r usually pretty drastic, the other main flaw is out dfo/dnf seemingly isnt newbie friendly as most of the design decisions tend to focus on pre-existing players rather then drawing new players in (cuz they hav 500mil players worldwide already) with newbie friendly changes being mostly a side benefit
comeon
lol
its not like most of what Trombe said was wrong...parts of it sure but not all and if he does not like the FP system or that the game is too easy aso that is his opinion and in this case it is not untrue
u even confirm most of it
that is not a reason to treat steam users like they are not worthy to be taken serious
alot of well known ppl in the dfo "community" keep saying weird thing that are sometimes just complete lies and falseinformation like for example AegisRick
and he is not a "steamuser"
slamming down the big wall of text is also not very nice
I dont know why cuz i like it...but usualy
ppl stop talking when that happens
only real flaw he mention is the avatar marketing decision and even then it wasnt actually a major problem either as it allowed neople to rotate certain favorable packages in and out depending on demands, there limited nature means people will generally buy them in bulk if not just the discounted package ver for just the avatar set itself even if they only want 1 specific piece and this did helped neople financially since dfog started as a personal project of the CEO at that time with no nexon involvement, understaffed and had failed estimated expectations of the community like awareness and player count, the avatar decision was definitely a flawed concept, it caused alot of problems and generally wasnt even really well received in general but wasnt enough of a problem to be consider detrimental and in the end they only rectified avatars to be tradable because they didnt anticipate how fast we'd all fill up our avatar inventory
people dont take steam seriously because outside of people who're actually looking for help/asking questions or steam users who're friends/acquaintances of non-steam users the majority of the rest of the steam users that the dfo community gets directly exposed to tend to be people who judges books by their cover, entitled elitist, casual knight templar being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the name of their justice and rants or complains about some of the stupidest thing if not lesser or similar variants of former 3 types of people, doesnt help that before steam most people didnt think steam would do anything for dfo which was an opinion not only shared by but also stated by neople on 1 of their streams too
aegisrick isnt wut most people would consider a very good player or even informative for the msot part even if well known, he tends to be very pvp minded and has a set preferences/style of playing which he attempts to force into every classes even if it isnt designed to or fit that class making some of his class showcasing of certain class just downright bad and despite being partially pvp minded he seems to be very clueless on wut the mage classes can do in pvp or how they play, vets dont consider him a good source of info outside of entry lvl stuff, most of his older vid these days tend to be outdated and if me mentioning him on reddit several weeks ago is anything to go bck it seems the majority of the community either dont know who he is or forgotten he even existed
I admit last time I played this game was long ago, so other points might have changed, but when I don't get to decide how much I play the game, then I'm not playing at all. I'm no sheep and I won't add myself to a playerbase that is treated as such.
