I think we're done with this discussion, we're going off-topic.
Facts r facts, since dfo went on steam its been plagued with only steam exclusive problems that have yet to be fixed, ive been playing since the alpha testing and even after dfo went on steam i still cant tell any before and after difference aside from the initial influx of new players from steam launch event which is now mostly gone except for the once in a blue moon thread on reddit about steam problems
And yes this discussion is getting off topic
just give a chance to log out account when launch thru steam
then registration problems solved
and game is ON for ones who want "all games on single launcher"
(as example warframe was the same when first appear in steam. i mean just gamepage+download button then registration thru site and updates thru game launcher)
Last night my friend couldn't login via Steam version of DFO as well, so I told him to uninstall the game from Programs and Features, Control Panel, and then download the game directly from Neople's website. Problem solved. He logged in with his old DFO account which was registered on Neople's website. No more gray-out "Play" button or error message.
The only price he has to pay for this is being unable to purchase Steam-exclusive in-game items, for example the Three Kingdoms DLC. But he's not a spender so he doesn't care about that.
To do this simply follow this steps below.
- Open Neople Folder on your drive
- Delete localpackage.lst file on your Neople Folder. It is usually located on C:\Neople\DFO
- Run LauncherUpdator
- Run your launcher again
Deleting the localpackage.lst will make your launcher check again the necessary files needed to run DFO. Itwill start to update if it detected that some files are missing.
This is the response to my ticket
We kindly advise you to change your Internet Explorer settings "Internet Options". To do this kindly follow this steps:
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Locate the Internet Options
3. Under Security Tab, click the Default level
3. Under Privacy Tab, click the Default
4. Under Advanced Tab, click the Restore Advanced settings
5. Then try to login again and launch the game.
How can that solve any cant login through Steam problems ?
(it worked for me)
