Motion Manga?

So I remember liking the (almost) motion comic from Portal 2 about Doug Rattman.
I got to thinking, how would a hybrid VN sell? As in, the general concept of Motion Comics (with slightly better/more detailed animation where a still frame isn't as impactful) but with Visual Novel story telling and format. (branching dialogue paths etc)
