It is indeed possible.
There's a table of text codes you can use in the help section.

When you open the help guide, use the search function for 'Message'.
On the Message page, scroll down until you find 'Text Codes'.

You can use the codes in this table to format your dialogue however you'd please.

Alternatively, there is this extension[forums.rpgmakerweb.com] which seems to be right up your alley.

My next question is:

Is there a way to change the message batching script to insert text into that extension's message boxes, instead of the default boxes?

Suppose if I want to change the fonts/styles in other foreign languages such as simplify mandarin, is that possible?
