The wait is almost over! Capy Castaway launches on Steam on August 6 as part of the Wholesome Games Celebration! 🎉

Before Capy and Corvi begin their biggest adventure yet, here’s everything you need to know about exploring Castaway Island.

After a devastating flood, a curious capybara pup named Capy washes ashore on a mysterious island and meets Corvi, a clever fledgling crow with plans of their own.

Play solo or with a friend as you explore a whimsical world, help its unique residents, solve light environmental puzzles, and uncover what happened after the flood. The choices you make will shape your relationships, the island, and which of the game’s multiple endings you discover.

Capy and Corvi each bring different abilities to the journey:

🐾 Capy can sniff, dig, swim, and interact with all kinds of curious items.

🐦 Corvi can fly, retrieve useful objects, and even give Capy a lift.

You can also eat snacks, play musical instruments, build sandcastles, stack hats, squeak, caw, and poke at the world to see what happens. Curiosity is very much encouraged.

The full adventure can be enjoyed solo or in two-player local co-op.

When playing alone, you’ll switch between Capy and Corvi to combine their different abilities. In co-op, each player controls one character, turning every moment into an opportunity for teamwork... or a tiny bit of friendly crow-and-capy chaos.

You can also play online through Steam Remote Play Together. Only the host needs to own the game!

Over the past few years, we’ve brought Capy Castaway around the world and watched thousands of players meet Capy and Corvi at conventions, showcases, and community events.

It has survived ten-hour show days at Gamescom, countless co-op sessions, curious first-time players, dedicated cozy game fans, and our developers repeatedly trying to break everything.
