Secret characters
The thing that was a deal breaker on disgaea "1" for me was the fact that the pc version lets you start the game with a character thats really powerful (it's suposed to be a secret one!). It feels like cheating really.... So the obvious question is... is this game different? or is there another secret OP character added in the beginning of the game? :(

DLC so you get Almaz Sapphire Gig Marona and some other characters at the start. They'll be at your level so it's fine. I only made use of Almaz and Gig since I didn't care for the other characters.

You also aren't given them automatically, you have to speficially recruit them. I'd suggest waiting a couple chapters at least because the rewards they give in the bonus gauge are way OP for the beginning of the game.

Plus, their starting level depends on the current chapter. If you recruit them on the first one, they will be lvl 1, but if you clear the game first, they will be lvl 100.
