Game has no sound (Solution)
Some older games (like this one), needs this: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 to run properly.

Quoting from Microsoft - "The Microsoft DirectX® End-User Runtime installs a number of runtime libraries from the legacy DirectX SDK for some games that use D3DX9, D3DX10, D3DX11, XAudio 2.7, XInput 1.3, XACT, and/or Managed DirectX 1.1. Note that this package does not modify the DirectX Runtime installed on your Windows OS in any way."

i have directx 12 on my computer, and when i try to run the installer, it's saying that a newer or equivalent version is already installed and won't go any further

Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
Expand Display Adapters.
Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
Follow the on-screen prompts to update the driver.

An alternative solution to no sound is your bitrate is too high from your sound card. Make sure you're no higher than 24 bit 48000 hz. I had the same issue because mine goes 32 bit 384000 hz and this game did not like it.
