Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 and 2 won't launch

They don't work... at all. I've tried every solution out there. Reinstall, game cache verify, running in compatibility mode, checking regedit to try and find faulty dlls, repairing directx/.net/vcredist, adding msvcp120.dll, lowering the audio quality to 44khz, tweaking the performance in Radeon, updating my drivers, unplugging my controller, remapping the key bindings, changing to windowed mode and back via config.ini, shutting down Razer Synapse, Steam Overlay, Steam Cloud Saving, running in admin mode (both Steam and the game), disabling fullscreen optimization... literally nothing works. Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 and 2 just don't work... although repairing vcredist made 3 work again so there's that.

The error code in Event Viewer is 0xc0000005... not that this helps since that's a general error code for "whelps, something's wrong with the software". And before you suggest to try contacting Bandai Namco's customer service, they don't support the game anymore.

Relevant specs are :

Windows 10 Pro 64bits
Radeon RX580
i7 5930k
16GB DDR5 RAM

If anyone likes a challenge and feels like giving it a go, you have till next week before I get it refunded and just play 'em on PS3 emulator or something.

They actually do work on W 10 .Hadn't any problems with these games

I have the exact same problems but with Win7. I tried all solutions of the guides but all I get when I start the game is the Windows exeption window: "Naruto xyz is not working"

Is there anybody who has a solution for this?

I know it is not a good PC but I could play Storm 3 and 4...

I know now, why the games don´t run (on my PC)...
Simply my graphic card don´t support DirectX 11 which is a requirement for storm 1&2...

Thats because my slightly better graphic card broke and I got this one from a friend.

I just found out about this after reinstalling and running the game in windows safe mode and then I got this error code: "0x80010010".
Maybe that´s an option for you to get more detailed error codes

Just wanted you to know, why I get the problems.
Hope someone finds a solution for you

okay guys i got my copy to work now!
all i did was installing the STORM4 one, it had configurated everything(took couple of minutes) and storm4 started wthout problems so i tried to start Storm1 and it run without any problems!
If you got that big pack of naruto games try it out in this order, helped me! Just lemme know if it worked or your copy still doesnt works, im curiose if that really fixed the issue!

I have the same problem. I bought the 4 games a view days ago, and 1 and 2 lauched once, big lag, and then the game closed, and everytime i tried to restart them I get the "dx11 device creation fail 0x80010010" how can I fix this ?
I'm on win 10, nvidia geforce gtx 1050. I checked I have all the latest updates. It's supposed to work.

Try to run other games first, all my drivers was up to date still it wouldnt start but once i had run storm4 it had configurated the setting for the game and after that storm 1 and 2 was running without any issues

did you buy storm trilogie and i have the sam probleme for storm 1
if you buy storm trilogie does naruto shippuden ultimate ninja storm 3 work?

I bought pack of 4: storm 1+2+3+4, didnt tried to run 3 yet but 1 nad 2 runs now after running 4th one.

Nice necro but nah, I'd only bought 1 and 2 since I already had 3 and 4 prior. Refunded 'em a long time ago though, since nobody could fix the game

it works for me it just it laggy idk how why but even with ultimate ninja storm 3 there's not lag and works well , idk why it giving me lag for this one
