Question about Mega Man 7 passwords

Does the code 1755-8187-6486-2322 work in this version of the game? That essentially lets you start the game with all 8 robot masters available. It unfortunately didn't work in the anniversary edition and I was wondering if that was the same case here. I want to be able to fight Spring Man at the start :(

Edit: It doesn't seem to work unfornately, the only password I've gotten to work is the versus mode password & the one that skips the intro stage...
