No 3DS port?
Weren't you boasting all the time about how with your Eclipse Engine you can effortlessly port games to any system that can run that engine?
What the hell happened to that?

That was Digital Eclipse. This collection wasn't made by Digital Eclipse.

It wasn't?
Well, that's disappointing.

In exchange we got much smoother porting, seemingly no controller lag and, frankly, just more features.

Smoother porting, but not for the consoles I wanted this on... :sarah2:

Oh, well... Maybe I'll buy this if it'll be in the next Summer Sale or something.

I'd hold off a bit and see if Capcom "re-develops" MM1-6 using their own code and then releases a collection of MM1-10 on the Switch and 3DS. That "could" explain why the Switch and 3DS were ignored for MMLC2 as Capcom has plans for the full set to be released. They just can't release MMLC1 since it uses Digital Eclipse's code base.

Digital Eclipse's "archival quality" spiel is always struck me as shady and the reports I've been hearing of input lag etc only re-enforced this. Glad I stuck with other methods and the MM25 book for the "extras".

I'm also glad Capcom took this new collection to another development team, as I'm finding Mega Man 9's controls to be incredibly responsive.

It should be noted that MMLC2 actually supports true fullscreen where MMLC1 supports only borderless window mode, so this may be part of the lower latency.
I personally think that there might be a Nintendo Switch port (eventually).

However, I doubt that the 3DS's screens are big enough for Mega Man 8.
