You can see your MM9 achievements by hitting up Challenges from the main menu of the collection, then choosing MM9.
10 was the better compromise, as it was mostly just in the graphical and chiptune music presentation. Megaman is still a shadow of his former self, but Protoman and Bass make up for that (Bass in particular playing almost identicle to Megaman & Bass him, save for a missing double-jump).
I'm fine with removing it and sliding as long as the game is designed around that. Sliding was a cool mechanic that allowed the devs to create interesting boss patterns so it's a shame to see it gone.
