can't wait for full release, great work
Well nevermind, for no reason I can discern it suddenly worked. There wasn't a recent update that I am forgetting was there?
Yeah! If we got a working Enigma Machine in a later update then UBoat would officially be the perfect sub-sim if you ask me!
"Our goal with these changes is to accommodate more playstyles, but without forcing them in any way. If such technical things are not your cup of tea, don't worry as everything discussed here is going to be fully optional as it was always the case in UBOAT."
Did you even bother to read that at all? Literally the second paragraph?
A Type VIIC uboat (what we have in game) could have a crew of up to 60 men. Though that's on the higher end. Anywhere from 44-60 was to be expected in real life but the typical crew was about 44-46 men. It certainly took a lot more than 18 men to control this boat and everything within it. There is no basis in reality for there being less crew for longer missions as well. These subs could be at sea for weeks sometimes even months. Conditions did get miserable in part due to the amount of people on the sub. It's just a historical fact.
