German voice lines: placeholder?
For a game that focuses on the human aspect I can't take the BDU or any character, sailor etc serious, because they sound like generic ash catchums with no soul, forgetting that there is a war going on. Please tell me that those are placeholder, pleaaaase! ^^'#
Maybe I should try out the english version, even though I speak German.

These voiceovers are new. There was very little talking in the 2022 build in comparison

thats the problem with true audio records.
they were done from skeletos after they perished thats why they all speak without soul.

Some of them voicelines are actually pretty obsolete and become quite annoying after a while like "Rohr x gewartet" or "Auf Diesel / E Maschinen umschalten" each time you dive and surface. Or "Anblasen" to surface the boat. A simple "Auftauchen" would fit better imo. "Schussunterlagen aktualisieren" each time you submit something to the officer on the TDC is also completely obsolete. Would be better if he just repeats the input values.
And the good old "Schneller schneller!" lol! Omg that's so cringy... 🫣😅
I wish we could just turn the most annoying ones off and keep the important ones.

I dont think they are all that bad. They have to be rather "one tone fits all" as there are many different situations where they can come up. If you have them sound too dramatic they sound odd when nothing is happening and vice versa.

I think they are better than just nothing, as it was before. Its just some of them sound rly casual. "Endlich eine Pause" usw. :lunar2019grinningpig:

I agree! Waaayy better than before, but I could well be without that waffling when hit the alarm... 😅
"denkt alle an eure Ausbildung" "zeigen wird's denen" blablabla... That's just a bit cringe to germans and often makes no sense at all 🫣

I don't want overly dramatic dialogue (though lines reflecting different stress levels would be great). It should sound more natural, like real people talk. Almost every line seems to have a falling intonation at the end. Who speaks like that, especially in the military giving reports?
Probably those falling inflections drive me crazy xD
