Bail water out of compartments
Before the beta, when I clicked the blue water drip icon, I would have a chain of sailors going back and forwards with buckets. That doesn't happen any more.
Even if I release all the sailors from officer duty's, they ether just stand around somewhere or get some food.
So on the management menu, with white hat tasks, which column is supposed to control that action. I've tried all the likely tabs at highest number, If I'm lucky I will get 1 sailor to bail out half of the selected compartments. And sometimes this is an officer.
They are happy to sweep up while knee deep in water, but will not grab a bucket, or even switch on the pump that is sometimes right next to them.

in Type|| or TypeVII ?

in Type2 there is no doors so it makes no sense to bailout water to somewhere else,
in Type2 you just active the pump

Your missing the point. They used to from a chain with buckets. But now they don't.
Read the question first, then if you have an answer that may be relevant, then post it.
Thanks.

It's not a task you could schedule. Instead you need an officer without a current task. That officer and all his assigned sailors will carry water. Sailors alone will no longer do that on their own.

Thank you "Red_Seven" for a sensible answer.

Rude. If you read their answer, there is no way to bail because the TypeII is just one long tube with no compartments, so the water fills the entire boat equally, you can't bail one compartment. If you task sailors with picking up the water, all you've done is picked it up. It won't drain any faster.

You are, he said in Type II or type VII. You did not specify in your question. You answered it in another post, then accused this person of missing the point, which did not even exist at this point.

I'm not trying to make you look stupid here but lets take you back to the question as first posted, and try to spell it out for you.
It clearly says in the first 3 words, "Before the beta". So dose it really need pointing out that I would be talking about the type VII (7).
And that I had a chain of sailors with buckets "but that doesn't happen any more". Still with me Sherlock ?. Just remind me, how many type 2s were in the game before the beta ?.
So shall I get you a shovel, so you can dig a deeper hole, or shall we leave it here ?.
And yes I can get rude when people jump in on a question without reading it properly. Because that would be a waist of everyone's time wouldn't it.

100%.

Tons of people on these forums refer to things in the stable branch without automatically assuming everybody knows which boat they are on in the unstable. That assumption is on you. Not to mention there have been bugs specific to one or the other Type VII variant.

But sure, continue to be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to people who were only trying to help you. Great way to get your questions answered going forward.

Yes but quite simply there were NO type 2s before the beta.

Anyway, I just had such an incident in a typ VII and they carried water buckets as usual. Actually, all of my 6 officers with 5 of them having hands of 2 sailors. 10/10 were at it. I just had to click on the blue drops for each compartment.
Meanless to say "Boot war nicht zu halten!" due to depth. We were lost... 😅
