game crashes all the time

alright so when i play the game it happens way to often that the game just crashes and closes itself. Im a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ noob when it comes to the technical aspects so is this a problem of my pc or does anybody else have this problem too?

The problem is in the game. I have other games working without problems. And Uboat crashes the system with a critical error!

time to time game quit to the win, but alt/tab to get back. Never any kind of error with error_messsage. probably it will be some issue with compatibility or some errors in your HW/FW/OS

Have you looked at your Event Viewer to see what is happening?

Had a similar problem of my game crashing. My solution was to close 2-3 apps I usually have up and running. Basically I close anything I don't need when playing the game.
Also found out that a campaign started vanilla where I later add a mod or 2 will crash aswell. I like using the TDC mod along with 2 other mods. It works fine if I make sure to run with mods from the start of a campaign.

tried pretty much all of it beside starting a new game cause i had this problem over couple of different versions but it was never this bad.

other games are working perfectly fine as well its just this one. Also tried to lower my graphic settings etc.
My best guess currently that it might be something within the game that gets worsened by my pc. Sometimes when the game is crashing i have to restart the entire pc cause nothing is working anymore

I know this is old but im running into the same issue too. Just straight up crashes and hard restarts my pc. No mods, just the vanilla game. Sometimes I can play for a couple hours, sometimes I get 5 mins in and boom, dead as a doorknob. Power supply is fine, beefy enough rig to run anything, but this is the one and only game that crashes like this. Yeah some others will crash to desktop, but Uboat seems to just shoot my pc in the face killing it.

i got the same issue. so i set the video resolution one line lower and now i have no more issue.

Hey just an update, that totally worked! I havent had a single crash since dropping the refresh rate. Ive got a 4k monitor that is set up for the higher refresh rate, but apparently thats what was causing the crashes. Ive even installed a bunch of mods and havent had any more crashes.
