i had no issue like this while running the beta, has been consistent challenge since release.

It's a hack fix, but it'll make the game actually playable so you can hear people without waking up the whole house. Just remember to disable it again when finished playing.
Right click the volume icon down by your clock -> Sounds -> Playback Tab -> Doubleclick your active audio device (the one with green checkmark) -> Enhancements Tab -> Checkbox in Loudness Equalization -> Apply, then OK.
Turn it back off later.
Yeah Windows 11 hides that option depending on which version of the Audio Driver is installed. A lot of people upgraded their existing Win10 PCs to Win11 went "wtf, where did it go?" Win11 overrode the old driver.
If you really want to mess with it you can get it back by using the Win10 driver.
