UBOAT
end of war not ending for some
i'm right after 08 May 45, and can still send officers to naval academy and request milk cows movement (yes, there are still 3 of them !) . And I can resupply to the one next to me without problem (but can't call for other supply). I guess this is to be fixed :)
Also, would be good to be able to radio your surrender to receive orders from allied forces on how to.
And the white flag would be great. Also, the possibility for Kaleun to shoot himself or kill the whole crew (North Korea-like) and extra scenarios (reach the coast in south America and meet some German folks there to hide would be great !
Great game in any case !

With a lot of the recommendations on this forum I'm glad that the majority of you aren't game developers.

Most of us are just cabinet-level politicians, or higher. Not many game devs.

+1. We'd have the most boated, micro-managing system of 150 menu options in order to do ANYTHING, simply by virtue of the endless list of tasking choices requested. Game would be an unplayable disaster, not unlike MOO 3 on release.

Don't worry, this would only occur once the war is over. Take it easy :)

if the war is over, then continuing play in any kind of war simulation is going to be either pointless OR, a criminal act

Options add to immersion, these are all realistic options, tough I dont think too many hard core uboot survivors at the end of the war were anywhere near suicide. Its interesting to read up on how many of the uboots and their crews ended up as the war ended, some is well documented, others are rumors.

Do you dislike in game options and creativity?

not a matter of liking/disliking in game options. But yes, I despise so many options you need a drop down menu of optional drop down submenus to open optional choices to open submenus to execute a decision.

ah, tahat's a misunderstanding: i was not suggesting to be able to walk in the jungle, eat monkeys to survive, escape the mossad and so on... just having a bit more "end game" choices for the history of the uboot's crew. not more. There's already something as you can already enter harbour safely and surrender, but if you start shooting, you'll be shot at.

Surrender?! What surrender?! As one German U-boot Commander said in the Soviet film “The Secret Fairway” (1987): “I did not lose My war.” Sieg oder Tod, Victory or Death, that's the only way. Let's go to Argentina and sink the Allies as much as possible!!!

Are you seriously quoting propaganda movies?

They made us kill them dead since .. obviously they wouldn't surrender.
Not like anybody would question dead nazi at the war end ..just saying is a funny way how meaning changes from a different pov.

1. I seriously study the history of World War 2 and have read a lot about German submarines and their commanders.
2. This is a game, first and foremost.
