“Public” nudity (or any illegal thing) is illegal but that’s not stopping it on the internet or in video games.

Never used to be a problem 15-20 years ago lot of games had the nazi flag in them.

Wolfenstein is heavily censored in Germany last i heard. And when they allowed it, i think it was because you fight against nazis, not play as them

I don’t think you can get away with playing as the nazis in Germany regardless of context

If you are running a fledgling company, and this project was started by TWO guys; you dont have the assets or resources to argue your case in court. So you play it safe. Take a marketing course, understand a little bit about international law, actually THINK about what is entailed in marketing a product internationally...before you try and tell someone who is doing it...how they SHOULD be doing it. I mean hell...IF you have that expertise? You will be hauling down MAJOR annualized income. So...DO you have that expertise?

I've yet to play a game that is self-censored for economic or legal reasons that didn't have a mod within 5 minutes of release to add that imagery back in. It's THE non-issue of non-issues.

right, because a modder isnt marketing anything. No money involved, what is the incentive for the 'state' to go after the modder? Any meaningful fine they might levy, the modder cant pay anyway, so whats the point? As always...follow the money.

I feel that anyone adds the the Nazi flag to a game should be locked up in jail for being a fascist groomer. People Like that guy who goes out of his way to add those Nazi symbols to the game via a mod.

I mean, these guys make no reservations about wanting to throw my type out of helicopters. Why should I give a damn about their "culture" or "history" or free speech.

This game represents a history lesson about the soldiers and technology of the time. Not the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fascist political party that got the world into a war that cost the lives of millions and who ended up taking poison pills and shooting themselves in the head in a bunker out of cowardice.

there were many many more people killed under hammer and sickle (and still are to this day!), but you won´t ban that right?
swastika is a positive symbol in many other countries.
everybody knows what happened in those 15 years in germany. it is history.

there are hundreds of mods on steam adding historical flags back, thousands everywhere on the net and every game with a false german third reich flag ever released got its mod adding the right flag back in promptly after release.

go find yourself a better cause like... actually helping or educating people. not censorship because you are team blue and hate team red or the other way around.

i´m not a big fan of moderating but these threads are prime candidates for being locked.

Sadly it may have been used previously by Aztecs or whatever,.. still when a bunch of radical hateful pieces of steaming nazi did kill millions of people under that sign ..
