that turns down the background game music. I have that set to zero.

I'm referring to the radioman's record player music.

sadly i dont think there is a way for that... its either on or off with it... (if it helps you can put the camera outside the sub and behind it soo the waves muffle the sound of it a bit...)

The radio volume is controlled via the slider for the effect volume in the sound settings of the main menu. If you reduce this slider, the volume of the radio music becomes quieter. Unfortunately, the sound effects also become quieter. If you set the slider to zero, you will no longer have any radio music, but of course no sound either. But if you want to turn down the radio music, this is the right way to do it. You may need to experiment a little with the volume levels to achieve an acceptable volume for both the sound and the music.

I think because we think "released" means "finished" on steam.

This particular thing strikes me as ...i don't know what it strikes me as. I'm dumbfounded.

same question as you "why?" It is completely off scale with the other sound effects in the game.

sound control is a peeve of mine when it comes to games. especially games that are LONG and repetitive like sub simulations. This can cause hearing loss over long periods.

I was fortunate enough to convince one developer of a space sim to have a check box for the loud ac fans running as ambient noise.

but I was banned by another developer of a train sim for bringing up this same issue with frigging birds and crickets chirping. They weren't even directional....it was every where like you were wearing headphones with non stop tweeting and chirping and ♥♥♥♥ with no volume control. play that for hours with headphones on and tell me it wont cause damage.

I cant play this game with headphones on
Simple solution, turn off the radioman's music when you had enough of it. That's what I did, works fine, also for headphone players like myself.

Get the big radio mod. Or even better, get all the radio mods. Hours of music you've never heard.

Use the F11 in game to report that we need an slider for the radio music
