What do you mean, because it's 'Hollywood' or convoluted and no boat in the war would be tasked with sending a diver down to recover gold? Well, yeah, but it's pretty fun doing all of these, and we have years ahead of us to run free hunt stuff for entire careers :)
When I first picked it up during the beta one of the comments I had was concern about the game being 'mission based'. But it wasn't long before I found how much I like the variety on offer, and we have not been short of traditional anti-shipping patrols over the course of the career. Finding a good balance, mixing in a mining mission or agent insertion or weather station breaks it up nicely. And there's always the option to filter these out, and just do what you want, but I'm glad I didn't miss them, at least the first time.
