How to get compass/degree heading on map?
When I get contact messages it usually tells me the heading in degrees and the location on sight. So if I want to calculate an intercept and utilizing the degree heading, I can't because i have no compass tool on the map. Am I missing something, like a hidden key I have to press to bring the compass up. or how do you do this?

On the left side in the bar with the map tools is a compass rose. You can snap that to your boat and when you enlarge it, it will show the bearings relative to your boat/heading.

I don't see a compass rose. The first tool is called a Compass, but its there to draw a range circle. I mean an actual compass rose that shows directions in degrees. You could move that onto the map and close to a ship and from there you can read the degrees and estimate a course from the radio transmission that told you the heading in degrees.

Are you playing the stable version? The compass rose was introduced in the beta version. For the stable version you can just use any mod that adds map tools.

The beta version has:
-Ruler
-Compasses (not to be confused with compass)
-Protractor
-Marker
-Bearing
-Eraser

What you’re looking for is that bearing tool. If you don’t see it, you aren’t playing the latest version

Under the properties/betas, there are many beta versions listed and the numbering does not make sense with all of them, which one is the latest?

Unstable - unstable
