UBOAT
Enigma recovery glitch?
Hi everyone, I snuck past the guarding ships and got to the location. Then, the actual location of the enigma to be recovered changed. The objective is beached close to the shore of the island, and the closest I can get without beaching myself is about 200m. I have my diver in a diving suit and the objective says "send diver" but I have no interaction. Cant seem to do anything in first person either. Any ideas or am i FUBAR?

I found the submarine pretty much directly below the DD and the Corvette. I sunk the DD with torps, unfortunately missed the Corvette due to a timing miscalculation on my behalf then sunk it with the deck gun. That was fun. I was right next to the the DD survivors in their lifeboats when I sent the diver down. Maybe the sunken U-boat is in a slightly different position each time?

That's strange, but then again its beta. I completed that mission yesterday with out any glitches. Just had to sink those 2 dds to clear the way and everything went smooth from there.

It might be to complete the mission properly, the British ships need to be sunk rather than avoided.

Dang. I snuck around them due to the proximity to the home islands and the mission's sensitivity. Blowing them up seems like a bad idea when its supposed to be such a secret mission.

The Dev should check to make sure that the objective can't spawn inside the search square at height greater than -12m.

From memory, and my memory is pretty crap as i only did this mission less than a week ago, sinking the two ships sets the next part of the mission in motion. I can't fully remember if the blue box indicator saying "Send a diver" or something similar popped up once the ships were sunk, but i have a vague recollection. Hopefully someone can set my memory straight.

I've had a mark a good 5000+m away from those two idle ships and completed the mission. However as soon as I stopped, and saw the ships incoming, I settled on the bottom and went blue light/silent running only to be depth charged to death.

Hello there, maybe a dump question but.... after completing my last patrol which was Tonnage war, I can see that enigma mission, but I'm unable to take it. Only tonnage war 2/3 is enabled for selection. Is is some kind of a bug?

Cheers

Those warships probably are trying to recover enigma,in this case sinking em is absolutely good idea and is immersive.
I always found em straight over sunken uboat wchich can confirm this idea.

I've logged this with the developers. As a side issue, i spent the reputation to get an extra mission choice, but when i rerolled, i only had the normal 3. I believe the missions order is a bit broken, you start one then don't necessarily get to finish it on the next patrol or 2. Can be annoying, but i've not failed yet so maybe the game "knows"

i think that three is the maximum. So the reputation buy is really for people who started with less choices.

I think 1 was sort of the assumed default.

You have the diving helmet in your inventory?

So I went back in my autosaves and sunk the warships. the "uboat" is still on the shore and i dont have the click to send diver thing in the top right where all the normal click to interact stuff is although I have a diving suit equipped on my diving capable engineer. Must be a bug.
