Emergency Alarm Bell Volume
I play in real time and when I have the Kaleun in his bunk and me in my kip for the night the ships engines set to Langsfahrt it's too loud to get any sleep if I turn it up enough to hear the alarm in my sleep. I need a volume slider so my wife doesn't divorce me.

i need to be able to either make the overall game quieter or the bell loud or have the man come and yell at me in the bunk so his voice is really loud. But I need a way to have the game quiet enough to sleep and the bell louder or man's voice loud enough if he comes to wake me.

If it comes down to her or the game, she's out.

So please save my marriage and don't make my wife into a bag lady.
Thank you.

actually the bell down the other end is plenty loud
can I just have a bell outside my quarters?
That would solve it

Wait, you play the game entirely at 1x, leaving it on at night - and wake up to manage things when an alarm sounds?

Wow. Interesting Post !

There is a "Sound Effects" file located in the Data Sheets \ General.xlsx file.

Excel would probably be the preferred choice to Open and Edit this file.

The Alarm - might be on Line 71
The Engines - might be lines 89-93

You could try lowing the sound volume on the engines from ( Column E )

The default value is ( 1 ) - without the quotes, change that to ( 0.3 ) without the quotes.

Strictly a Guess, that any of this will work !

Yes, that's right. And in my wwi style boat I also compute course, speed manually by observation of enemy. I have on max difficulty and don't use tools to help me
yes i'm a weird camper
also, I hope the British aren't around at night, but they will be pesky.

It's true I have the luxury of unlimited free time, but I'm stuck in one room, so there's that. XD
Not that it's a big deal. The more time that goes on and I watch everyone become more and more base, I'm glad to be isolated. Lol
