Uboatpedia PDF?

Yes, I know it can be opened in game. But it is so small on my screen I'd need a special eye glass presception to read it.

I got the impression from someone that the Uboatpedia document could be found in the game files and read using Acrobat. Does anyone know what directory its in? I'd really like to have it handy on my iPad while playing.

I found only in German (UBOAT_Data\StreamingAssets\Packages\uboat\Bundles\uboat.ui.user-manual).

If you like to have the manual beside the game :
Copy uboat.ui.user-manual to another folder and rename it to uboat.ui.user-manual.pdf

\Steam\steamapps\common\UBOAT\UBOAT_Data\StreamingAssets\Packages\uboat\Bundles\uboat.ui.user-manual
e.g. d:\games_knowhow\uboat\uboat.ui.user-manual.pdf

Check updates for newer versions - latest is : Entwurf: Version 2024.05.27

Ups - Seems that this is only working with Firefox (not with Acrobat Reader or Microsoft Edge)
I have no Acrobat Reader installed as Firefox does the PDF job

Thanks. I found it. German also.

Hopefully someone makes a good tutorial at some point on the new TDC and fire control systems. There's one on YouTube, but the maker speaks very quickly and the accent is a bit difficult to understand. I was hoping to got through all with the manual, but that seems like a bust for now.

They are going to release a printable manual with full release. I know that doesnt help right now but something to look forward to.

I just discovered in the 1.0 release: If you open the uboatpedia from the main menu/title screen it opens as a PDF. It has DE in it's name suggesting that its German but the contents are actually in English.

Its a brilliant manual. The kinda manual that feels like it should be be part of a box set like simulation games back in the day.

Just wanted to add that there are PDF files in different languages now coming with the game, they can be found under /Steam/steamapps/common/UBOAT/UBOAT_Data/StreamingAssets
