How to get Upgrade Points for new boats?
It's August 1940, and i'm still stuck with my Type IIA in Wilhelmshaven. At this point, there are even no missions for me anymore. Does anyone know how to fix this? I even looked for console commands, but nobody knows what the exact command is.

You get blueprints for campaigns, so by that time you should have some already.

Tonnage War should give you an upgrade point after sinking 50000 BRT
Be wary though, upgrading your boat is bugged right now. It will break loading your boat with cargo in port and also remove the skip time feature in port while your boat is being loaded.
Devs said it's fixed in Preview 5, but no idea when this patch goes live...

But i don't. I completed the Norwegian campaign, did Scapa Flow, dropped a Spy in Ireland, did 2/3 minelaying missions and some tonnage. Now i don't have any missions available anymore.

Right now and as far as I know (Played a IIA start until March 1940 so far), you get one upgrade point for completing second stage of 'Tonnage War', and you get another upgrade point for completing the 3rd mission of 'Atlantic Theater Operations', which starts in March 1940. The fastest way to get into the VII(B) with a IIA 'War Begins' Start is around March/April 1940.

I am in August 1940. I can see the Atlantic missions on the map, but they never appear as a mission choice. So I'm still in my type IID and the only stuff that's open for me are the Happy Day missions and the odd spying or rescue missions. Bummer!

I tried opening the console, but the "`" key doesn't do anything. When I reassign it to another key, that doesn't do anything either. What is weird is that when I reassign at first the text "Right Stick "VerticalTurn" appears in the reassignment window. Only clicking fast and pressing the new key manages to get it assigned. So I have two questions: -
1) Is the console disabled, or ...
2) Does any of my peripherals (yoke, throttles, pedals) interfere, preventing me from opening the console?

Or maybe something different entirely?

The console is disabled by default on the beta. There's mod in the workshop to renable it.

Just finished the first level of the tonnage war (thanks to a few tankers). Got a blueprint when I returned.

It seems that you can switch between the boats and they keep their upgrades (though the equipment is lost). I swapped into a IID and then back into the VIIB and my new accumulators that I just installed were still mounted in the VIIB. Though my storage was set back to the default.

Can anybody else confirm we can keep individual ship progress? This would be *AWESOME* if we do.

Mission close to shores? Grab your IID
Mission medium range? Grab the VII
Mission at the US? Grab the IX when it comes
if you go on the map and zoom all the way out you can select individual missions and see their rewards... Blueprints which is what you need, the first you get completing stage 2 of the tonnage missions in the north sea, and the second is from completing stage 3 of the atlantic theatre questline which i think you shouldve gotten by now

When you go to the officer to get your assignment, only a limited amout of missions is presented. The Atlantic missions never appear. Yes, they are visible on the map, but not in the mission selection.

Got my first one of these last night from the second part of the Mediterranean campaign (sink 100,000 tonnes if I remember correctly)
