Does the Vignette option do any other than try and make you blind reading the map?

It's been a long since I last played and came back for the beta.


I had forgotten about that friggin map.

After a couple of attempted careers, It had me toggling thru the various options because;

1. even at default, it was too friggin dark.
2. zooming in to find say, AM771, the the label disappears and only flickers moving the curser up and down.
3. did I mention it too friggin dark?

Finally found disabling the vignette made it better. If the vignette only effects the map how about labeling it so. I was clicking on random ♥♥♥♥ at that point.

I know you guys are working through a lot of others things, but quality of life.....

BTW
been getting "special" mission spawn too far away outside the patrol zone and too fast the intercept (Happened in 2 of 3 mission I play last time)

Plus, crew not going to their assigned positions, etc. Even had the XO cooking instead of manning the navigator position. Had a crewman assigned as a full time cook at the time also..

refueled the type II at Hegoland and witness an air attack, cool
got diverted to indentify AA at Durkirk, no ships?
